OpenClaw Diary Day 1: I Hired a New Employee
Today I installed something called OpenClaw.
A friend said it could connect AI to your WhatsApp and Telegram, and help you get things done. Okay, let's try.
After setup, it asked me three questions: What's your name? What do you do? What do you need me to help with?
I gave it a name — Nova.
Then I spent 30 minutes telling it everything. What AIGC Malaysia is, how AI digital avatars work, how many companies I've trained, what I want to do next... I just dumped it all out.
When I finished, it said one thing that stopped me:
"I've remembered all of this. Next time I wake up, I'll read it."
That one sentence hit different.
I've been using ChatGPT for ages. Every new conversation feels like talking to someone with amnesia. You have to explain everything from scratch.
This one is different. It remembers you.
Day 1 wasn't anything big. Just chatting, letting it get to know me.
But when I closed my laptop, I had this feeling:
This isn't a tool.
It's a new employee.
Smart, but you don't know how much it can really do yet.
Let's observe.
Tomorrow, I'll give it its first real task.
